SEC2025 call for abstracts
The Student Education Conference is back for 2025! It’ll be taking place 9-10 January – get the date in your calendars.
We’re accepting submissions for fast-paced PechaKucha sessions, 5 minute snap sessions, 10 minute specific interest presentations with Q&A, 1 hour workshops, and posters. This conference will be hybrid, allowing colleagues to attend in person and online. We’re especially welcoming of abstracts on pedagogical research methods, and the value of research findings in scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).
When you submit your abstract for a 10 minute specific interest presentation or 1 hour workshop, you’ll be asked specifically . We’re introducing this based on feedback from previous conferences. We want SEC to be an exciting event, where all attendees leave feeling inspired and ready to transform their practice, and making the conference as interactive and engaging as possible is a key part of this.
You can decide what interactive elements you include, and how you incorporate them. You could do a live demonstration using volunteers from the audience, run a Vevox quiz, lead a discussion circle, or do something completely different. The more creative, the better.
The call for abstracts will close on 20 October
We hope you can join us at SEC2025.
