LITE Incubators
As part of our five year strategy to foster student education success for all, we have themed LITE Incubators to develop research in strategic areas. The LITE Incubators encourage and develop collaborative research, providing a playground where professional services, technical, research and academic staff, students and teams can work in partnership on long-term projects within each incubator to create real change in student education.
Each strand has an Incubator Lead on a 0.2 FTE contract. The Leads develop and curate multidisciplinary pedagogical research (PedRes), discipline-based education research (DBER) and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) within their strand.
The LITE Incubators and their Leads are:
- Assessment: Katie Carpenter
- Feedback: Alba del Pozo García
- Active and Experiential Learning: Alexandra Holmes & Clare Tweedy
- Inclusive Education and Belonging: Jenny Brady
- Digital and Open Education: Antonio Martínez Arboleda
- Sustainability and Community Engagement: Pierre-Philippe Dechant
Our LITE Strategic Leads each have a remit which carries across the incubators. They make sure that their portfolios are embedded in the research activity of all the LITE Incubators. The remits and their Leads are:
- Students as Partners in PedRes: Tao Jiang
- Student Futures and Educational Gain: Bee Bond
- Research Ethics: Richard de Blacquiere-Clarkson
- Research Design: Louisa Hill
