How does the use of UniHelper affect the student experience and sense of belonging in Higher Education?

About the student researcher

I’m Zaria Babat and I recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and Politics. I am pleased to be involved in research on how UniHelper (UniHelper is a software tool designed to support the allocation of students into effective groups based on their study and work preferences) impacts the student experience, sense of belonging, and wellbeing. My experience as an ethnic minority and first in my immediate family to go to university involved personal challenges with feeling like I belong. My empathy motivates my interest in community-oriented activities and research from which I hope to contribute to creating a more supportive University environment.
