Applications are now open for student placements taking place in the summer of 2023. We have two different placement opportunities available.

Research Experience Placements

Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE), in collaboration with the Educational Engagement team, is offering 13 students the chance to take part in a supervised research experience placement (REP) throughout the summer of 2023. This year’s internships are partially delivered through the University’s role in the collaborative project Yorkshire Consortium for Equity in Doctoral Education. This aims to address under-representation in postgraduate research study with a focus on UK Black, Asian and minority ethnic students.

LITE Research Placements

Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) is offering two students the opportunity to conduct a supervised research project in the summer of 2023. The projects are a great opportunity to gain research skills and experience that you could use as examples in any future applications you make for postgraduate research programmes or jobs. The research you do will contribute to and inform the work of current and former LITE Fellowships and, therefore, student education practice at the University of Leeds.

Go to the Research Experience Placements page or the LITE Research Placements page to find out more information about the placements and how to apply.
