Student Education Conference: Call for Abstracts

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 25TH OCTOBER @5PM

LITE is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for #SEC 2022. The Conference will take place on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th January.

The theme for our annual Student Education Conference is Belonging and Community.

The conference will be opened by our Vice Chancellor, followed by the chance to hear from our new Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Education, Jeff Grabill and our keynote presenter Dr. Eric Mazur.

As well as keynote presentations we will also be hearing from our student and staff community who will be presenting research findings and sharing ongoing projects that are working towards building a sense of belonging and community for all.

About the sessions:

Sessions will include the popular 5 minute snap sessions and 15 minute parallel presentations. These short sessions allow for a packed programme providing as many people to showcase their research as possible, to a large audience. The LITE team will then work with presenters to organise follow up workshops for those sessions generating a lot of interest and discussion.

Abstracts are invited that cover the following themes:

  • Physical spaces
  • Co-curricular
  • Learning Communities
  • Digital Spaces
  • Personal Identities

New for this year is the space to share research ideas providing colleagues the opportunity to create collaborations or simply invite suggestions and discussion to help shape the project.

It is likely that the majority of sessions will be delivered remotely, with some scope for on campus delivery in line with the current University guidelines.

If you would like to present your work at #SEC2022 please submit your abstract by completing this form.
