We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the Student Education Conference 2023. #SEC2023 will take place on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th January 2023.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘A Curriculum for the Future – Rising to Grand Challenges’

The conference will be opened by our Vice Chancellor, followed by our student panel after the popularity of this session last year. As well as keynote presentations, we will also be hearing from our student and staff community, who will be presenting research findings and sharing ongoing projects which are working towards building a curriculum for the future.

About the sessions:

Sessions will include the popular 5-minute snap sessions and 15-minute parallel presentations.

These short sessions allow as many people to showcase their research as possible, within a packed schedule. The LITE team will work with presenters to organise follow up workshops for sessions which generate a lot of interest and discussion.

Abstracts are invited that cover the following themes:

  • Education in a digital world
  • Connecting with the global south
  • Embracing diversity
  • Embedding sustainability

We are planning a hybrid conference, allowing colleagues to attend in person and online. We hope most sessions will be delivered in person.

If you would like to present your work at #SEC2023, please submit your abstract by completing this abstract submission form.

Closing date for abstract submissions: 18th October 2022
