New LITE Fellowship - Sense of belonging and the student experience

Date

APPLICATIONS are now open for two new LITE Fellowships exploring the link between sense of belonging and the student experience.

The Fellowships are being offered through a collaboration between the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) and the Educational Engagement team at the University of Leeds.

Sense of belonging is at the heart of the University’s newly launched Access and Student Success Strategy 2025, and these LITE Fellowships will directly contribute to the strategy’s objectives through focusing on one of the following three areas:

  • Interactive pedagogy and sense of belonging
  • Personal tutoring and sense of belonging
  • Sense of belonging and authentic self

Successful candidates will be expected to deliver a robust research project that provides an evidence base on which to review current practices, as well as introduce interventions that create a sense of belonging for all students.

It is a fixed term secondment opportunity, commencing in 2021 that can be carried out part time between one to three years and is open only to current University of Leeds employees.

Closing date for applications is February 14.
