SAAW Online - Language Centre Experiences of Pre-Sessional Teaching in 2020

LESSONS learned in delivering virtual pre-sessional summer schools to international students will be shared in this online Share, Adopt, Adapt workshop.
The Language Centre had to adapt the delivery of their extremely popular pre sessional summer schools very quickly in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
Delivering a range of sessions from large lectures to smaller sessions online to an international audience across different time zones has been a steep learning curve for all involved.
In this SAAW Laura Richards, Natasha Rust, Lauri Essien, Roya Alimalayeri of the language Centre, will talk about their experiences and their lessons learned.
They will share their thoughts on what worked, what didn’t and what lessons can be learned planning ahead for a hybrid teaching model in 2020/21.
