SAAW- Exploring academic listening in a second language: student and tutor experiences. EVENT POSTPONED

Date
Date

Location
TBC

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE. Led by Niamh Mullen and Peter Matthews, this workshop will give insight into early findings from The Academic Listening Project, a LITE project aimed at investigating issues surrounding second language listening on PGT modules and their possible impacts on student education. This is looked at from the perspectives of both students and lecturers. The discussions should be just as relevant to those delivering teaching at undergraduate level.

In this session, we will present project findings so far and allow plenty of time to discuss experiences of teaching cohorts with larger numbers of non-native English-speaking students. We will also take time to share ideas on how lecturers and students could be better supported in teaching events which involve listening.
