RAISE Conference info event

We have another Conference information event for you! This time it’s for one that is happening here at Leeds! The RAISE conference will take place in and around the Esther Simpson Building 6-7 September 2023 in a hybrid format.

The RAISE Conference will provide a collegiate, inclusive forum for critical discussion and exploration of the concept of student engagement and success, with a conference-wide focus on ‘sense of belonging’. In particular, the conference will centre around how the complex notion of belonging is experienced by students and staff from diverse and underrepresented communities and backgrounds in Higher Education Institutions through the sharing and celebration of collaborative research and initiatives from across disciplines.

We would love for their to be a large delegation from the  University of Leeds to showcase the amazing work that goes on at our institution.

We will be holding a Leeds-specific online briefing event on Thursday March 23rd 2-3 (although the event is unlikely to last the full hour). LITE Fellow and  head of the Leeds Conference organising committee, Ed Venn has kindly agreed to provide an overview of the conference and an insight into what the committee is looking for in an abstract. There will also be a chance for a Q and A with members of the LITE team also present.
