  • Location: G-31 Clothworkers link building

REFINING your research approach will be the focus of the second LITE Getting Started in Pedagogical Research Workshop.

Prepared with aims, objectives and a research question, this workshop will enable colleagues to refine their research approach and help them focus on the best data collection methods for their project.

It is aimed at colleagues who have attended workshop 1 and, or, those moving from disciplinary research in to pedagogic research.

This is the second in a series of six Getting Started in Pedagogical Research workshops created by the Institute.

It will provide an overview of both quantitative and qualitative research and the suitability of both for gathering data.

It will also look at some of the important considerations in choosing different methods and will explore validity and reliability in research methodologies.

The focus will be on pedagogic research exploring approaches and themes within learning and teaching and the higher education environment.
