Assessment Matters workshop: Formative Assessment and Feedback
- Date
- Thursday 7 December 2023, 13:00-14:30
- Location
- Electrical Engineering SR (3.52) or online
Formative assessment is critical to support students development of assessment literacy, and learning the 'rules of the game'. Formative feedback and feed-forward supports students to understand what they are doing well, and what they need to do to improve. Increasing formative assessment opportunities is a key principle of our assessment strategy.
In this workshop, we have two colleagues from different areas of the University who will share their different experiences of providing formative assessment opportunities and feedback at Leeds:
Alba Del Pozo Garcia from the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies will share about practical experiences on implementing formative assessment, including peer and self-assessment to support learning.
Sally Martin from the Digital Assessment at Leeds (DAaL) team will explore how Feedback Fruits can be used to support the delivery of formative feedback within teaching and learning.
You are invited to join us in person in Electrical Engineering SR (3.52) or online on 7 December from 1:00pm until 2:30pm. Please register for the workshop and let us know how you would like to attend.
