Ben is the LITE Manager and has a variety of roles across the Institute, from supporting Scholarship activity to Institute projects and represents LITE in various networks across the University.

With a research background in Biomechanics, Ben moved into leadership roles across different teaching Schools within the University before taking the Manager role in LITE.

Ben’s role allows him to continue to pursue his passion for people development and mentorship, improving the student experience, and building relationships and networks within the University of Leeds and beyond. Ben is driving the evaluation and impact activity of Scholarship with LITE, particularly focusing on the value the evidence-based output and practice has on teaching and learning within the University, and how this can be used to measure educational gain.

Ben supports Scholarship activity within LITE by leading on the delivery of events such as the annual Student Education Conference, supporting with Fellowships and building links with other universities engaging in Scholarship research.
