Location
Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence

Dave provides support for the LITE Research Fellows and LITE’s university-wide research networks.

He completed his PhD in Diplomatic History at Cardiff University in 2017, where he gained experience teaching undergraduate students and developed an interest in experimenting with various pedagogical methods.

Before joining LITE, Dave worked at the Faculty of Environment where he organised induction across the faculty, led industry mentoring schemes for PGT students and redeveloped employability provision for students within the Institute for Transport Studies. In April 2020, Dave was presented with the Partnership Award for the Faculty of Environment, for which he was nominated by staff and students for his exceptional impact in a range of areas. Dave was subsequently awarded a University-wide LUU Partnership Award for Innovation following his work to develop employability provision at the Institute for Transport Studies.

Dave is particularly interested in exploring new methods for the delivery of teaching, methods of assessment and learning enhancement. Dave has developed the LITE Teaching Show, a YouTube series designed to showcase the work of the LITE fellows in a fun and engaging way.
