Mentoring Scheme Relaunch

LITE is relaunching its mentoring scheme with a strong focus on supporting colleagues in carrying our pedagogic research and scholarship of teaching and learning. The new scheme compliments other LITE initiatives designed to build capacity in pedagogic research across the university. Other education-related mentoring opportunities are provided through OD&PL.

We are seeking volunteer mentors who feel able to provide support and advice to colleagues starting out or very early in their pedagogic research journey. Mentors should be able to support a mentee through an initial one year relationship, meeting regularly as required, and providing advice and acting as a sounding board and critical friend.

We invite colleagues who feel they would benefit from additional support through mentorship to apply to join the scheme. Mentees will typically be engaged in or about to be engaged in an education project with elements of associated research.

Both potential mentors and mentees are invited to complete the application form. LITE will pair mentors and mentees and provide support to both parties.  The closing date for the first round of mentor/mentee partnerships is 28th February 2020.
