(PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NEW DATE) This interactive workshop, led by Dan Pullinger and Jiani Liu from Skills@Library, will explore research findings from a project which evaluated the academic skills and support needs and expectations of taught postgraduate students. Participants will be provided with initial results and introduced to a new online resource.
Participants will discuss the challenges students face in making the transition to taught postgraduate study, share experience in supporting successful transition and reflect on expectations of taught postgraduate students’ research skills. Opportunities will be identified for embedding academic skills support into teaching and course design.
