Location
MS Teams

This interactive workshop hosted by LITE and the TIPS Community, and led by Dan Pullinger and Jiani Liu from Skills@Library, will explore research findings from a project that evaluated the academic skills, support needs and expectations of taught postgraduate students. Participants will be provided with initial results and introduced to a new online resource- Step up to Masters. You can sign up for the event to be held Thursday, June 10th 10-11 here.

Participants will discuss the challenges students face in making the transition to taught postgraduate study, share experience in supporting successful transition and reflect on expectations of taught postgraduate students’ research skills. Opportunities will be identified for embedding academic skills support into teaching and course design.

The workshop will be followed by SAAW Extra, a relaxed and unrecorded space to continue the conversation. This is led by Aline Gaus (OD&PL) from 11am-11:30am - the link to the meeting will be shared on the day with attendees.
You can access a full abstract and outline of the session here. You can check out the Step up to Masters resource here.
The event will be recorded and uploaded to our SAAW Stream Channel.
