SAAW Online -The capstone experience: how to develop and evolve the Leeds Final Year research project

  • Date:
  • Time: 10:00 - 11:00

A FOCUS on how to develop and evolve the Leeds Final Year research project will be the next Share, Adopt, Adapt workshop.

Dave Lewis, Biomedical Sciences, will outline how a Capstone experience differs from a research experience and sharing guides he has developed to enable students on his project module to choose the capstone experience from the 15 different formats available.

These are based on which best provides the work experience and develops the skills required for their chosen future career.

Dave will also share the “How to Do it” guides he has created to support and guide supervisors.

This SAAW will be useful for colleagues wishing to evolve their final year project modules or supervisors wishing to broaden the range of projects they supervise.

Dave is also seeking to develop both the student and staff guides to cover all projects formats or types offered across the University, including linking in with key research themes.

If you are interested in potentially collaborating on this, come along to the SAAW to find out more about the project.
