A NEW funding pilot to support events around the scholarship of teaching and learning has been launched by the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE).
The Supporting PedR Fund aims to provide up to £400 per bid for staff to deliver an event promoting research into student education within schools, faculties or across discipline areas at the University of Leeds.
Funding, for example, can be used to provide refreshments or guest speaker expenses.
Applications are now open until 21st June with all events to be completed by 31stJuly.
“We had an overwhelmingly positive response to our first and recent Getting Started in Pedagogic Research workshop. Attendees told us they wanted more opportunities to share ideas and network, often at a local level with colleagues from the same discipline areas.
“This modest funding is in direct response to that, to encourage those interested in pedagogic research to explore their ideas and potentially form collaborations, hopefully progressing their project ideas in to reality.”
The event must facilitate and support pedagogic research activity.
A template will be provided.
And LITE should be cited at the event, promotional pop up banners, materials and slides can be provided.
