Leigh Dowd

Leigh has nearly 20 years of experience in communications with 10 years as a journalist at two evening titles, including the Manchester Evening News.

He has also spent nine years in central government communications, including the Press Office at the Department for Education (DfE), and as a Campaign Manager at the Cabinet Office.

In his current role at LITE, Leigh designed, built and manages the Institute’s web presence and social media.

He created a communications plan and strategy and advises on all other communications for LITE.

Additionally, Leigh planned, designed and commissioned the content for the central University of Leeds student education web pages.

He also planned and led on an international stakeholder/public relations advocacy campaign to promote the University of Leeds globally.
