Areas of responsibility
As part of the Business Change team within the University’s Strategy and Planning, I project manage strategic change projects. Most recently I have been part of a team of academic and professional staff who have implemented the Leeds Curriculum – a transformational cross-institutional change project to significantly enhance undergraduate programmes within Student Education. I am currently integral to a group evaluating the impact of the Leeds Curriculum.

A new area of my work is in the implementation of a mentoring and coaching framework for business change across campus; currently in a pilot phase.
From January - December 2017 (0.1 FTE) I will be co-leading with my colleague, Caroline Campbell, (Director for Languages for All) a Teaching Enhancement Project awarded by the Leeds Institute of Teaching and Excellence (LITE). The project is a student-staff collaborative evaluation of the value of Broadening as part of the Leeds Curriculum and specifically explores the case for language learning.

Areas of professional interest
My background is in education; formerly secondary and then higher education where both my doctoral research and teaching were in sports ethics and sport pedagogy. During this time, I developed interests in pedagogic research and scholarship and, in particular, research/enquiry-based learning and evaluation in HE. Added to these interests are an ongoing commitment to mentoring and coaching and change management practice.
