TWO KEYNOTES have been announced and bookings are now open for the Student Education Conference 2019.

KEYNOTE Day One:Adam Finkelstein.

Adam Finkelstein , McGill University, Canada, will explore the impact that technology-enhanced teaching spaces can have on learning as part of the first keynote on Thursday 10.

KEYNOTE Day Two: Prof. Bart Rienties.

The second keynote will be delivered by Professor Bart Rienties of the Open University who will discuss how the power of learning and teaching can be unharnessed by using learning analytics on Friday, January 11 .

The theme – Learning Spaces – will examine the many arenas in which students can learn and develop, create and collaborate, forge partnerships with communities, cross thresholds or take risks.

Over the course of both days, plenaries, breakout sessions and a panel will also consider sub-themes, such as informal learning spaces and architecture, digital platforms and technology enhanced learning environments.

Dr Kelvin Tapley, LITE Director, said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming two speakers of the calibre of Adam and Bart to deliver our keynotes at the conference, offering exciting perspectives on our theme of Learning Spaces both from an ‘Edtech’ point of view and also the growing importance of learning analytics and its value to higher education.

“I look forward to welcoming them to LITE, the University of Leeds and the conference.”
